Return to Lake Corpus Christi

This weekend, Chuck & Scotty followed Oscar & I from San Antonio to Lake Corpus Christi State Park to meet with the Underwoods, Chapmans & Rosins. Here's a photo of the "First Ever Unsanctioned Oliver Caravan"

Saturday Morning, John treated us to a wonderful cowboy breakfast cooked in an authentic cast iron pot "just like the cowboys did it!" - (although I doubt "Festus" ever set his oven on top of an old computer case and used license plates for a windbreak :)
d
It was so authentic, Chris even used a thermometer "just like the cowboys had" to see if'n it was time to add the cheese. (Sorry, John, I couldn't help myself!)

The finished product was so perfect we all wanted to head out on the range & rustle cattle-

But seeing as we had no horses, we hung around the campsite telling tall tales . . .

Fishin' . . .

And looking sporty . . .

Oscar & I sat out by the Wonder Egg this morning, remembering all the great times we've had this weekend. Jambalaya, cowboy breakfast, tall tales, fishin', pulled pork BBQ, water balloon fights ,outdoor movie shown on a screen tied between trees, etc, etc, etc . . .

Oscar asked for a picture taken with all his friends . . .

Thinking the weekend was just perfect, before we left Oscar shouted "That was lots of fun, Pete, lets do it again!!!!!!!!!"

I am sure we will . . .
