TEXAS TO CANADA OVERVIEW

Here's a quick sampling of some of the wonderful experiences Bosker is having on his first camping experience.

Bosker was quickly introduced to the splendor of watching the sunset from a wooded campsite on a lake. He gave it a rapid waggy tail rating.

In Tennessee, I found the perfect campground for Bosker.  They encourage storytellers to stop in, and since Bosker is likely to be a world class "yarn spinner" he fit right in.

In Hohenwald, TN we attended a fiberglass RV rally that had FOURTY Oliver travel trailers attending.  The largest Ollie gathering, e v e r .   Thirty five other fiberglass enthusiasts were there also.  The Wonder Egg had a nice perch on top of a small hill. It's fun to meet more of the Ollie and fiberglass clan.

This is kind of embarrassing.  Every time we crossed a state line, Bosker grabbed the camera and took a picture of the welcoming signs.  I finally asked him why and he said "Don't ya see it Pete?  They all LOVE me and are welcoming me into their state!!!"
(He certainly is related to his 1st cousin, Oscar, isn't he?)

Vermont - the White Mountains - another fiberglass RV Rally.

Bosker enjoys the meet and greet activity that goes on as he is walked around the campground

We made it to the St Lawrence River, where Canada could be seen across the river.  The sunrise over the river greeted us with the splendor and joy of creation as we looked forward to the rest of the summer's adventure.

Bosker was saving up energy for our crossing into Canada.

The adventure continues . . .

2017 Adventure Begins

As we began our 2017 adventure and I stopped to capture the moment, all I could hear was Bosker yelling from the front of the truck, "Hey Pete!  Are you lost already?  We're not even out of the driveway . . . SHEEEESH!!!!!"

It's going to be a very long summer, indeed.

With Friends like This !

In todays world, it is important to be aware of what your children are doing online and know who they are talking to.  Bosker left his email open and I came across this!

Hi Bosker,
First, welcome to Texas and the Hill Country. We're your Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Bob, old friends of Pete and Oscar. Bonnie is a retired pediatric nurse, and thus a real professional at lap sitting little dogs, one of Oscar's favorites. We're looking forward to meeting you soon, so put a bug in Pete's ear that we need to get together.

Yes I know Pete's a bit of a dufuss, and a little slow, but you've hit the jackpot when it comes to loving homes. You'll soon have him trained and then anything you want will be yours. The best food, bejeweled collars, and of course winter sweaters. During your travels with Pete you'll have all the sweet young things, both human and canine, loving on you. Don't worry, they'll ignore Pete and you'll get all the loving attention. And remember, when Pete's trying to train you to sit, stay, roll over, come, things like that, it's all optional. If you don't feel like sitting, don't. You're so cute you can get by with anything. But if Pete's ever late with your food, bark and growl and chew his pants leg. He'll say "You're so cute!" and get you anything you want. Play him for all it's worth, you'll only be a puppy for a year or so and you need to get Pete trained quickly.

Tell Pete you need some of Bonnie's wonderful lap time. Have him pick a date and we'll bring the chicken fried steak sandwiches and fries.

We love ya Bosker,
Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Bob

With friends like this, life is a little richer . . .

Legal Name Change

Hello again, everyone.  I had to have  serious sit-down talk with Pete.  It's about my name, Oscar II.  Everyone has been talking about what big paws I have to fill.  I got to thinking......I don't want to fill anyone else paws.  I've got my own pawprints to make and trails to sniff.

Don't worry, I made it easy for Pete (since he's a bit on the slow side).  I went to the courthouse and got a legal name change to BOSKER.  It rhymes with Oscar and is easier for Pete to remember.

See ya down the trails,

Bosker

Time to train Pete

Hi folks!  my name is Oscar. (also)  I just flew into San Antonio and was picked up by my chauffeur,  Pete.  He drove me out the The Hill Country and showed me my new travel trailer, The Wonder Egg.

Meet my chauffeur, Pete.  He seems sorta slow and simple minded (if ya know what I mean) and it looks like I've got a lot of training to do to get him up to speed.

But first things first, it's time for a bit of a rest before I tackle this huge task.

Wish me luck!

Oscar

Happy New Year ladies and gentleman...introducing Oscar II

Arriving January 5th!
Oscar II and his predecessor, Oscar the 1st are related.  Going back ten generations in Oscar II's genealogy, you will find Oscar's first cousin, "Ginger Snap" and continuing to the twelfth generation, you will come upon the first Grand Champion of the Miki breed, "Flyers Boo Boo", who was Oscar's grandfather.

Oscar II and I shall be training each other over the next few months before taking off on another adventure.  He has some pretty big paws to fill and something tells me he is up to the task.

Let the journeys continue . . .
