Circumnavigate

Lake Superior.  Here we are, camped on a small inlet that feeds into the great lake from Wisconsin.  Huge, north, cool, noteworthy.  The largest of The Great Lakes, it deserves to be circumnavigated by The Wonder Egg.
And so it shall be.

Pete,
I’m so jealous. You’re heading into my home stomping grounds. The scenery is absolutely stunning up there, and the moderate temperature and lack of high humidity makes for a lovely summer.

You lost Oscar and we lost Isabella. She got canine lymphoma three summers ago. We still have fond memories of the day Isabella the Italian Greyhound met Oscar at Darcy’s Pint in Springfield, IL on your Route 66 trip.

We now have Lyddy the miniature Dachshund, who came to us as a puppy mill rescue. She is gradually learning that some humans can be trusted. She had a very difficult start to her life. I will have to tell her about Bosker and his trip around the biggest Great Lake of all. Maybe I can convince her to write to him this summer.

Have a wonderful trip,
Pamela and Bill

Pamela and Bill,

We are sorry for your loss of Isabella. Pete said it was great to meet her and her people on Route 66. Lyddy is fortunate to have caring parents who can surround her with the loving she's been missing.

We have stopped for a day at Amnicon Falls State Park, in northern Wisconsin. I heard about Oscar's special pen pal. What a lucky dog he was!

Take care,

Bosker and his driver
